Yes. You can either stain or paint the precast and we recommend that you discuss your options with a painting professional.

No. We do not require a sealer and prefer that the concrete breathe over time. However, graffiti coatings have been applied.

ATMI Precast prefers that we provide a concrete haunch with continuous steel angle for joist bearing and an embedded steel angle for deck bearing.

It is the same rating as concrete. However, special attention needs to be paid to the joints between panels. There are products available that will provide up to a 4-hour rating.

Our geographical area is limited to how competitive our pricing can be. Typically, our radius is 300 miles from our production facility.

The R-value is dependent on the cross section of the panel and the type and thickness of insulation provided. Insulation types are Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Extruded Polystyrene (XPS), and Polyisocyanurate (ISO).

We recommend that the precast be typically set at – 1’ 0” below finished floor. This foundation can be trench footing, stem wall, grade beam, etc. We will provide the necessary embed plates for casting in the field by others.

Typical design compressive strength of 5,000 psi at 28 days, and 3,000 at time of release.

PCI is the governing body for precast concrete products and establish the guidelines for design, production, and erection tolerances. PCI MNL-116 is a Quality guideline for structural precast, and PCI MNL-117 is a Quality guideline for architectural precast components.
