At ATMI Precast, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s a guiding principle for our work. As a PCI Certified and Design Leadership in Energy and Environmental (LEED) certified facility, we pride ourselves on helping our customers meet their project sustainability goals. This begins with providing our own Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a report that quantifies the environmental impact of the product throughout its life cycle, developed specifically for each project we work on. Additionally, we incorporate recycled materials, like steel and EPS, into our process whenever possible. When sourcing materials, we keep track of where the materials are located and the distance from our site, doing our best to source locally to reduce carbon emissions from transportation. Once the project is complete, we will submit the LEED paperwork for their structure.
Concrete is a unique material with numerous sustainability benefits, making it an ideal choice for environmentally conscious construction projects. One of its key advantages is its exceptional durability. Concrete does not rust, rot, or attract pests, and its resilience is evident even under the most challenging conditions Mother Nature throws its way. Concrete’s inherent fire resistance enhances building safety and reduces the need for extra fireproofing materials. Its thermal mass properties enable it to absorb and retain heat, contributing to improved indoor temperature comfort, lower energy costs, and compliance with sustainability standards. Incorporating our thermally broken wall panels can enhance insulation efficiency, ensuring better temperature control within structures, reducing heating and cooling expenses and overall energy efficiency.
