Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector position is an important part of ATMI-Indy’s Quality Assurance System. The Quality Control Inspector is held accountable for accurate inspections and reporting of manufactured product against industry standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are included; other duties may be assigned.
- Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections against industry tolerances, both dimensional and aesthetic.
- Testing concrete against company and industry design tolerances.
- Concrete strength testing.
- Completing and filing reports in a timely manner.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Assist with the development and implementation of production improvements.
- Complete ACI Level 1 certification.
Applicant Skills Required:
- Blueprint reading.
- Ability to use and read a measuring tape.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Acceptable attendance history.
- Flexible start times.
- Task prioritization.
- Time management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to climb up onto or down from equipment.
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladders and walk lengthy distances in an industrial setting.
- Occasionally it may be necessary to work in outside conditions that can include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
Hours:
- Typically, 40 + hours per week
- Some Saturdays may be required.
